MORE FAMILIES IN NEED, LESS TO GIVE.(MAIN)

As families prepare to give thanks for what they have, food pantries and meal providers across the Capital Region say they are seeing a growing number of people seeking help for the holidays.

The slowing economy that is putting more people out of work is bringing more people to agencies that provide free food. At the same time, the heavy volume of donations that flowed to the victims of Sept. 11 is leaving agencies fighting for contributions to assist with the growing demand.
